Registered Veterinary Nurse – Deputy Head Nurse Required

Our Practice: Icknield Veterinary Group is an independent, 3 branch mixed practice with our main surgery in Luton and a further 2 branches in Dunstable and Harpenden. We have close ties with charities including Blue Cross and CPL. We are dedicated to the improvement of animal health and welfare in the area through high-quality clinical services and client education. Our main surgery in Luton offers a challenging and rewarding environment in which to work. We have all the necessary equipment including an ultrasound scanner, endoscope, in house lab and digital radiography.

Location: Beds and Herts borders. Excellent airport, train and motorway links.

The Role: We are looking for a deputy head RVN to join our friendly teams to cover duties in our main Luton surgery. Caring for both medical and surgical patients post-op, assisting vets in theatre/prep, with the opportunity to set up nurse clinics. RCVS accredited and nurse training centre, a qualified clinical coach, or willing to train as a clinical coach to support SVN training and development.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week. No OOH, Sundays or bank holidays. To include some Saturday mornings worked on a shared rota basis.

Successful Candidate: The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, efficient and enthusiastic individual dedicated to delivering outstanding care. They must be a good communicator and enjoy working as part of a team.

The Package: CPD is encouraged with a generous CPD allowance. Further benefits include: VDS and RCVS fees paid, plus one other membership of their choice. Employer contribution pension scheme, staff discount, birthday day off, 20 days holiday, plus holiday allowance increasing annually.

Salary from-£26,000 plus, depending on experience.

LUTON SURGERY

Part-time Receptionist Required

We are looking to recruit a Part-Time Receptionist at our Luton surgery.

Weekdays – Monday to Friday, currently 21 hours per week [minimum],  covering shifts between the hours of 8am to 7pm. In addition, you will be expected to work  Saturday mornings 8am – 1pm, worked on a 1:5 shared rota basis. Flexibility will also be required to cover your colleagues during holidays and absence.

This is a client-based role, with the focus on caring for our clients, and delivering excellent client care skills. You will be based at our busy Brook Street, Luton surgery, and you will become part of a dedicated, enthusiastic  and supportive reception team.

The responsibilities are varied, to include:

  • Excellence in Client Care
  • Maintenance of computerised diaries and records
  • Cash handling and reconciliation
  • Stock control
  • Dispensing medication
  • Liaison between clients, vets, nurses and our two branch surgeries.
  • Operating and maintaining office equipment

The ideal candidate will be experienced in client care, and be familiar in working within an administration/reception environment. However, all training will be conducted in-house.

SA Full-time Veterinary Surgeon Required

We are an independent mixed practice, comprising of three surgeries. Located in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with excellent airport, train and motorway links. We are RCVS accredited, and provide SVN training through the College of Animal Welfare, and we are a main centre providing clinical services for the Blue Cross. We are privileged to have the experience and dedication of our supportive clinicians, nurses, reception and administration teams.   

We are looking to recruit a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated, friendly and enthusiastic SA veterinary team.  

Based at our main centre in Luton, you will also be required to work some shifts at our branch surgery in Dunstable. 

This is a full-time position, to include some Saturday mornings worked on a shared rota basis. No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays. 

The successful candidate will be a proactive, organised, efficient and enthusiastic individual, who will share our vision and dedication to delivering outstanding veterinary and client care. Enjoy working as part of a team whilst having the opportunity to work up and follow your own case-loads.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to lead our dedicated, friendly and enthusiastic SA veterinary team. 

Based at our main centre in Luton, you will be required to manage both our Luton and Harpenden SA Vet team. 

This is a full-time position, to include some Saturday mornings worked on a shared rota basis. No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
